Alcoholic Beverage Consumption

Official Statistics of Finland (OSF)
Statistics
The statistics cover both documented and undocumented consumption of alcoholic beverages. Documented consumption is calculated from the sales data of Alko stores and the delivery data of wholesalers delivering alcohol to licensed restaurants and grocery stores that sell alcoholic beverages having an alcohol content of no more than 4.7 per cent by volume. Undocumented consumption includes passenger imports, smuggling, legal and illegal home preparation, surrogates and alcohol consumed by Finns outside Finland. Undocumented consumption is calculated based on data obtained from official data sources and interview studies.
