National AccountsPrice index of public expenditure
The price indices of public expenditure (PIPE) measure the development of prices in the expenditure of central and local governments. The indices have been used for decision-making about central and local government finances, and for diverse studies. The indices are suitable for calculations at constant prices, and for estimations of volume changes in the public economy and expenditure. The base year of the index is 2015, indicated by the figure 100. With the central government the weight structure relates to the structure of expenditure in the financial statements of 2014, and with the local government to the structure of expenditure in the financial statements of 2015.
