Ownership of Forest Land

The statistics contain information on the forest ownership of private persons by region (forestry centres). In these statistics all the forest holdings of the same owner are united to one property entity which is located according to the owner’s place of residence. The statistics give their number and area by size class. Also the number of individual forest holdings by size class is presented regionwise. Information on other than private ownership categories is presented at national level. The statistics are based on land ownership records of the National Board of Taxes.
